Grad ’71 40 year reunion in 2011:

Well, it must’ve been a party – Grad’s of 71 are already offering to volunteer for the next reunion extravaganza so hold on to your hat!  That would be 2016 so be sure to mark your calendars now.  The 40 year bash at the Langford Legion was attended (unbelievably) by grads from Terrace! Denman Island! Whitehorse! Calgary! Washington State! Nova Scotia! Honeymoon Bay! McKenzie! Lower Mainland!  and Christchurch New Zealand for Heaven’s Sakes!…  that’s just a small sample but you get the idea.

Nice round numbers in the vicinity of 150 partiers along with Mr. Blasner, Mr. Runer, Mr.Sutcliffe and Mr. Newell with his trusty better half struggling to maintain order as the dinner progressed through meet and greet, eat meat and greet, group photo, door prizes, dancing with friends to great music and then meeting some more.  Some of the meeting and greeting had to spill out of doors as the weather was warm, the day long, the band a little loud and the opportunity to catch up all too short.

Pretty much everybody felt that 10 years is too long to wait for the next one so here’s a heads up to stay in touch, notify the committee if your email changes and stay tuned for further developments.
