Vic High Archives & Museum

Alumni volunteers manage the school-owned Vic High Archives & Museum collections, preserving and celebrating the school’s history. Volunteers research and answer inquiries, catalogue records and  artifacts, set up school displays, loan items to reunions, and provide photos and stories  for the alumni website, newsletter, social media.

The Archives’ Story

It all started in 1974 when a Centennial Celebration Committee (CCC) was formed by then-principal Duncan Lorimer and chaired by Laurie Wallace (1930) to oversee the big 100 year celebration of Victoria High School, 1876-1976. The CCC was composed of… full story

The Archives & Museum is in Room 123  on the ground floor, east hallway across from the Foods Lab. We are closed in the summer and open after Labour Day.

We are open Fridays, 10 – 3, or by special appointment. It’s best to check first. Sometimes volunteers are away or in the Archives Storage room.
